Summer xcellence
The Institute has a practice of shortlisting few good projects adjusted by the faculty guides. These projects are judged by a corporate panel in an annual event, ‘Summer Xcellence’. MBA summer internships are a great way to learn specialization subjects with practical exposure and that too under the guidance of corporate professionals. It is perceived as a pinnacle of Management fundamentals and provides an opportunity to implement the skills learnt in the classroom into the diverse working scenario. The presentations of Summer Xcellence were judged by a panel from the corporate sector in each specialisation respectively.
• The main purpose of Summer projects is that first year MBA students can get exposure to the real business world during summer internships.
• It aims at encouraging students to excel in their internship.
• The competition provides a platform for SFIMAR’s budding Management professionals to showcase their business knowledge and enhance their functional skills.
• Summer Xcellence provides a platform to SFIMAR’S budding Management professionals to showcase their business knowledge and enhance their functional skills.
• Students get an opportunity to gain proficiency in their business acumen and knowledge of the nuances of business.
• It provides the students with a hands-on learning experience for them to build their skill set in their field of specialisation.
Sampark – Alumni Meet
The Annual Alumni meet “SAMPARK” is the most awaited event for Alumni members organised at SFIMAR campus. It is an excellent platform for networking with alumni. Approximately 200 plus alumni members attend the meet from 1st batch onwards. The management of the Institute encourages its alumni members by awarding “SFIMAR RATNA AWARD” for Corporate Excellence and Entrepreneurial Excellence. Management has introduced one more award i.e. “Distinguished Alumni Award”. This award is given to the Alumni in SAMPARK for the voluntary contribution of the services rendered in the holistic development of the Institute.
Exuberance
It is an annual inter-collegiate festival of St.Francis Institute of Management and Research. An exciting and happening Management, cultural, and sports festival. All under one roof. What do we have? It is a term which suggests, means ‘high energy’, ‘enthusiasm’, ‘zeal’, ‘motivation’. Exuberance is therefore a platform to bring together creative, energetic and intellectual talent from across the length and breadth of the financial capital of India, i.e. Mumbai. Its inception was intended to be an outlet, for the expression of the talents of scores of unsung heroes and heroines, who are eagerly looking for an audience. So now you know why it is exciting and happening? High on energy and enthusiasm! Management events include BizQuiz, Trade Guru, and Ad-Zilla. Sports events include Rink Football & Chess Championship. A dose of energy and fun has been added, which will come to life with the special event – Maze Craze & Chess Championship. As the names suggest, all events are planned to be high on energy and enthusiasm, which comes to life at SFIMAR campus during the Exuberance event.
